At A Joyful Noise, we pride ourselves on being more than just a childcare center. We are a child development center. Our goal is to nourish each and every child that comes through our doors and help them develop their skills.

We do this through our Christian based curriculum, ABC Jesus Loves Me. Our curriculum includes core academic learning, development, and biblical teachings through play. We make learning fun!

Curriculum Information

The curriculum used in our toddler and preschool classrooms is ABC Jesus Loves Me. This program supports comprehensive skill development, social-emotional growth, academic readiness, and biblical learning. Guided by a learn-by-playing approach, students engage in interactive activities and hands-on projects that create impactful learning experiences. We welcome new families to join our community where each child is encouraged to grow academically, emotionally, and in faith.

Our toddler curriculum nurtures each child’s growth in a warm, supportive environment, helping families feel confident that their little ones are learning the skills they need to thrive.

Younger Toddler Classrooms

  • Focus on essential developmental milestones through play-based, teacher-guided activities.

  • Developing fine motor skills such as grasping crayons or pinching tweezers

  • Developing gross motor skills like climbing and running through safe and engaging activities.

  • Encourage early language development with responsive interactions, songs, and routines that promote a diverse vocabulary.

Older Toddlers

  • Prepare children for a smooth transition to preschool by fostering independence, stronger communication, and early cognitive understanding.

  • Support for students who are beginning to potty train through

  • Promote expressive language by encouraging full-sentence use, holding conversations, and expanding on vocabulary.

  • Introduce foundational cognitive concepts such as color and shape recognition, basic sorting, and simple sequencing activities that develop reasoning and cause-and-effect understanding.

Our preschool curriculum is designed to promote school readiness through a structured, developmentally appropriate curriculum taught in classrooms designed with students in mind.

Younger Preschool classroom

  • Emphasis on foundational literacy skills, including letter recognition and name-writing.

  • Encouragement of clear, full-sentence speech and age-appropriate language development.

  • Hands-on exploration to inspire curiosity about the world and how things work.

Older Preschool Classroom

  • Focus on advanced language and communication, including complex conversational skills and fluent sentence writing.

  • Expanded knowledge of the world through purposeful, inquiry-based learning.

  • Development of critical thinking with an emphasis on cause-and-effect reasoning to support a smooth transition to kindergarten.

Our School-Age Program emphasizes social-emotional growth and character development in a supportive environment.

Early Achievers

Early Achievers is Washington’s quality rating and improvement system for Childcare providers.

Early Achievers provides support and resources, such as trainings and coaching, to childcare providers so they can make improvements to their programs.

Their quality rating system helps families find childcare programs that are engaged in continuous quality improvement efforts and have had their quality validated by the University of Washington (UW).

We are pleased to announce that A Joyful Noise Child Development Center is currently at a level 3 Early Achievers rating. As part of our ongoing commitment to quality improvement, we are actively engaged in our new quality recognition cycle. Our primary objective is to continue elevating our rating.

CACFP Food Program

We are participants of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This is a federal program that reimburses our program for the meals that our students eat. This means that we are able to provide delicious and nutritious meals to all of our students at no extra cost to families. Our chef, Mrs. Susan prepares everything in house from scratch. We serve breakfast, AM snack, lunch, and PM snack.
